A3 #TRLT Singapore was one of my favorite stops in the world. So many things to see and do.

A3: Isla Mujeres in Mexico next to Cancun is definitely worth a visit and it was great to visit and actually stay. #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @CaitlinKellyNYC A3: Maybe not a strict favourite, but if in #CapeTown it's impossible not to visit Robben Island for his importance in #SouthAfrica History. Here's a view of Table Mountain from RI. #TRLT #travel

A3: Lake Ontario's Toronto Islands, are a beautiful oasis within 15 minutes of downtown via a quick ferry ride or a flight to #YTZ.
The islands provide a wonderful day trip from the city, with beaches, bicycle rentals and an amusement park.

We spent a week in Seattle back in 2014 and discovered that not only is it a pretty cool city, there are islands all around it! We hopped on the #ferry to visit #BainbridgeIsland for the day and found #wine and a pretty cool little island town! #TRLT #islands #traveltuesday

replying to @Travel_Session A3- 🇺🇸#Oahu is cool because you can be in the city, but you don't have to go too far to get away from the crowds

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CaitlinKellyNYC A3) If you're looking for a city that's an island then New York City or more specifically Manhattan might be the answer because it probably has everything that anyone might need. #TRLT

Often, Islands - and more whent they are far away - are also used as jail. There's a terrible one in Port Blair (South Andaman) where one exiled and locked up indians political prisonners.
Now people are peaceful and life is cool in this very nowhereland

#trlt A4: I got stuck on the small Orkney island of Papa Westray for three days because of a combination of fog, Covid regulations, and it being a weekend. 4x1 miles in area, about 60 people live there.

Was fabulous :)

A3: For me, nothing tops New York City because there's so much to see & do & eat & drink (but I may be a bit biased since I was just there) #TRLT

A4: Our Skye-Lewis (Harris) ferry was rerouted to go from Ullapool on the mainland. We drove 150 miles off the island and up the coast, to be told it was a 2am departure. We went to Inverness instead and never got to Lewis. Here are some Skye pics. @LindaPeters64 #TRLT

A4: I encountered incredibly rough seas on the ferry to Malaita Island in the Solomon Islands. Once past this hurdle, I was rewarded with the serene beauty of Langa Langa Lagoon. #TRLT

A4: Islands are beautiful, but can be a challenge to visit & stay. One island misadventure was when I took a friend from Toronto, to visit Salt Spring Island w/o realizing the return ferry ran from the other side of the Island. We had to hitch a ride as no bus was running.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4: Love lemurs in Madagascar. But I almost got gored by a zebu, a humped cattle with horns, while innocently standing by my bicycle hoping to grab lunch. (My guide was oblivious.) A young boy, who was supposed to keep track of his cattle, intervened. #TRLT
