replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas @featherytravels @junkkDNA A2) Not sure if my trip into the Andes in Chile were the highest elevation that I've ever been to though the view was certainly one of the best I've seen. #TRLT

A2: Dead Woman's Pass along the Inca Trail ... where I almost died, haha. Over 14,000 feet, can't remember exact height. Loved the experience for the scenery but the altitude sickness wasn't very fun. Pic back in the days of film cameras and basic scanners. #TRLT

#trlt A2: another place I reached into the high 3ks though was Kyrgysztan. Although I overnighted at Song-Kol at only 3200 ish, we crossed a mountain pass that reached 3700m.

A2: a memorable 'high place' that I've been while on #TRLT was Whitsunday Peak, at a humble elevation/altitude/height above sea level of 407 m it's the highest point in the Whitsundays.
After sailing for days, an enjoyable, land experience.

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @HeidiSiefkas @featherytravels @junkkDNA We sure did love our visit to Chile although most of the time we stayed at water level. Although we did get up on the volcano! #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @featherytravels @junkkDNA A2. Back in 2012 I trekked to Everest Base Camp which is 5,364m. However you can do a little side-trip up Kala Patthar which is 5,644m high (and actually allows you to see Everest - directly above my head). #trlt

Adds new meaning to "sucking wind". Looks like a short walk, about 2 KM, but when you start at over 4,800 m / 15,750 ft it's a slow stumble for us reside-at-sea-level folks.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @featherytravels @junkkDNA A2. Not sure if it’s the highest but definitely one of them - Pico do Arieiro in Madeira. Felt like we were on top of the world. #TRLT
