replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 Villagers from below here built this tiny rock church in northern Ethiopia long, long, long before I visited, and the congregants still hike and rock climb to get there weekly for services. (the view was incredible): #TRLT

A4. We thought icon on map of trail we planned to hike was being over-dramatic showing pic of a person climbing a rope to indicate "difficult." Nope, actually have to haul yourself over the mountain with a chain, haha. Quite a surprise to us. High Tatras, Slovakia. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @ramblRramblR It’s worth hiking the hills around Dedza/Ntcheu in central Malawi as it offers uninterrupted views down the escarpment to Lake Malawi #TRLT #Malawi ⛰🥾🇲🇼

A4 We drove up Mount Revelstoke in BC and got amazing views as we went up. And then all of a sudden it started to snow! And we hiked in the snow! Not expected in early September. #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 @JLipowski @heidiSiefkas @pip_says @Touchse @charlesmccool

A4: a favorite alpine mountain memory is hiking a forested trail on top of Mount Robson, in Juneau, Alaska with enthralling views from the summit.
With limited time and a cruise ship to board, I had to run to catch the tram back down.

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @CharlesMcCool A4) If there was ever a time that I was thankful for being stuck in traffic because of road work this would be it. I was on the Going to the Sun road in Glacier National Park & if I wasn't sitting in the car for traffic to move I wouldn't have been able to take this photo. #TRLT

A5: Being in high places is fine, but getting close to a precipice is not a preferred choice on any of my itineraries. #TRLT

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @LindaPeters64 @CharlesMcCool The same applied with this photo in Kerala, India. Spent 90 minutes without moving waiting for a landslide to be cleared. #TRLT

A5 #TRLT I like high places. Honestly, if I can breathe, there probably isn’t a place too high. @RockyNPS had some pretty thin air that caught me off guard. These are from the clock tower in Venice.
