Celebrations & Festivities
TRLT
A3 #TRLT Sydney NYE was a favorite of mine. It’s one of only a couple of times I traveled specifically to see a celebration.
A3: The Jinju Lantern Festival in South Korea was a ton of fun, with light displays, fireworks, and (of course) lots of great food #TRLT #travel #TravelTuesday
Noisiest is definitely Lunar New Year in China. Nonstop fireworks for two weeks. #trlt https://t.co/jGvKBeJki1
A3: I stumbled upon a strange festival in Guatemala, on the 24th of December. People wearing massive masks above their heads paraded the town following a nativity procession, starting from the church. #TRLT
A3: Unusual maybe not, but FUN yes....This is on a float in LaCrosse Wi where we (myself and my Miss Trempealeau court) were dancing with our local band for Oktoberfest. #TRLT #traveltuesday #travle
replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas A3) I've been to the Seafood Festival in Pittsburg California, what made it unique is that the city is closer to the Sacramento River Delta than the Pacific Ocean so all of the seafood is shipped in. #TRLT

...and also, I was by chance in this village deep in the bush during a circumcision ceremony in #Tanzania ... and it was surprising to say the least

🎈Balloon Fiesta
🇺🇸 Albuquerque NM
Aside from the expected buzz of anticipation on opening day, the morning’s mass launch of big balloons was relatively quiet, because like many, I’m sure I had the same open-mouthed look of astonishment.

A:1 Egypt has the best festivities celebrating the holy month of Ramadan for straight 30 days @ExperienceEgypt #TRLT
The Maya of @VisitMex align their buildings with the equinoxes #TRLT It would be wonderful to know exactly how they celebrated #Mexico A3
A3: one of the most colourful and fun celebrations that I have enjoyed is Montreal's annual Pride Parade.

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski A2 Not sure but it was certainly noisy when the horseriders at the Dogon Cultural Festival in Bankass, Mali fired their antique rifles into the air as they rode towards us back in 2005 #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @t_jh2009 @TheTravelCamel @JLipowski @RTWBarefoot @Touchse @HeidiSiefkas I am in Ontario Canada where it is was -7 C last night #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel We’ve been very lucky in experiencing cultural celebrations; dances & song from the Chewa and Ngoni peoples of #Malawi. Being gifted traditional headwear and other items was particularly special #TRLT

A4: My hometown does a mean festival with live music, fishing contests, egg tosses, pancake breakfasts, car shows, beer tent, parade, talent show, and fireworks. It's called Catfish Days in Trempealeau Wi the weekend post the 4th of July. #TRLT #traveltuesday #wisconsin
