replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A2: If they have a lot of time and just want to not do much. This is Sri Lanka; #TRLT Saying live like a local makes no sense as you can't no matter how hard you try. It's different when you are a local. You can see how locals live, but you can't live like a local.

A1: To me, slow travel is the ability to take everything in without being rushed. I've attempted to do this throughout my travels, whether it's exploring a new city on foot or savoring coffee and eats of the local food scene. A lady's gotta eat!

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @loyaltytravels I'm pathologically unable to stop bouncing around, so I try to sort of replicate slow travel via not-fast motorcycles off major routes. has paid off with elephants by the road in Sri Lanka; fisherwomen in Liberia; ruins in Morocco; oasis in Kenya #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @ramblRramblR A4: Taking a randonnée (hike) through the french countryside. Taking a long lunch and talking to friends at a city centre cafe. Having apéro time with the french, with their unique savoury snacks pre-dinner. or having apéro dinatoire (a whole dinner, courses of snacks!) #TRLT
