Slow Travel
TRLT
Q1: Please share your definition of Slow Travel. via @Loyaltytravels #TRLT #traveltuesday
A1: For me, Slow Travel is the ability to revisit a favourite place or spend time doing very little without needing to adjust my travel itinerary. #TRLT
#trlt A1: see, I will differ from a lot of people here because, to me, "slow travel" simply means not travelling fast, It's nothing to do with how long you spend in a place. Cycling the world is slow travel even if you never spend more than one night in any location.
A1: A definition of #SlowTravel might be: not having a schedule, plan or 'must see' list. When we visited Barnard Castle in Co Durham, we weren't expecting to visit @TheBowesMuseum. But it's splendid! @Loyaltytravels #TRLT
A1: Slow travelling is taking your time at your destination not only to visit at a slow pace what there is to see in the area but also to understand and learn about the local culture. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A1: Like Shane, moving at your own pace (esp. when traveling solo.) It might mean sitting most of the day on a beach or hillside or in a cafe or a slow-moving train. It's really being fully present, not rushing to accumulate a pile of "experiences" you barely remember. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @loyaltytravels A1 Slow travel is defined in opposition to what it is not, mass package tourism. It still allows time to see the major tourist sites but then takes the time to explore on a deeper more meaningful level on top of that. https://t.co/3THHdVxX5f #TRLT

A1: Definition of slow travel emphasises connection with local people like I did here in Xian, China. Getting to know the culture and eating the local food. #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @loyaltytravels A1. Being more intentional with your time and do a particular thing rather than doing more but in a haphazard or rushed way. #trlt

A1: Could be anything from using alternative modes of transport to not rushing and being flexible around spending time in certain places. The kind I would LOVE to do but purely due to my nature, am unlikely to ever truly do #trlt
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @loyaltytravels #TRLT a1 to us, Slow Travel means taking the time to enjoy a location in a peaceful, unrushed way. Maybe it's grabbing some Disc Golf discs & just having a lovely afternoon walking our 17 acre Fullbright Park with a buddy and tossing discs, followed by a leisurely lunch or dinner
A1 Slow travel to me is staying in a place for a longer time. It means going with the flow. Maybe you have one activity a day and let everything else fall into place. You can more easily tap into the local scene this way. via @Loyaltytravels #TRLT #traveltuesday

A1 #TRLT For me slow travel includes the ability to become part of a community over time, to return and feel and be welcomed, to have friends and learn the rhythms of life and landscape in a place
A1: 'Slow Travel' is having the time and inclination to immerse ourselves, to connect with the people and culture of a community. When a shop owner greets you by name, with a hug & shares hidden gems that they take friends to discover on #TRLT.

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski @loyaltytravels A1) Slow travel to me is unrushed travel, where I spend the time needed to visit places so that I can absorb the complete experience. Its one reason I got my timeshare weeks in the locations (Carmel, Lake Tahoe & Sedona) that I did so I can take my time. #TRLT

A1: Slow Travel is deeper and richer travel. It allows you to better explore a place and better interact with local people. Plus it's a less tiring and cheaper way to travel. #TRLT
A1 Slow travel is having the time to look, listen, & fully experience what is happening around you. It’s participatory & requires thought on part of the traveller. #TRLT
