replying to @loyaltytravels @loyaltytravels @BradtGuides @epicureanexpats @TheTravelCamel Well, with all due respect -- many of us can't! I live in NY and getting to anywhere NOT the U.S. means a long flight and $$$$$$. It's why Americans can be so frenzied with their very limited time off. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @loyaltytravels A1. #SlowTravel When m truly able to connect w myself & the surrounding w/out stressing on the life I ve taken break from. When m able to hear birds chirp, smell the flowers, caress the breeze and walk the trail. More relaxing and less running.

Q3. While watching local Nantwich residents battle it out for the worm charming crown might not have originally been on your bucket list, it is only by taking the time to get to know a place that you come across quirky festivals like this one! #TRLT

replying to @CaitlinKellyNYC @CaitlinKellyNYC @BradtGuides @epicureanexpats @TheTravelCamel Actually, living in NY is perfect as you get to a lot of cheap fares to everywhere. Fares from Houston to anywhere are typically twice as high as the East coast to anywhere :-). If being frenzied, work, then that's cool too. #TRLT

replying to @CaitlinKellyNYC @CaitlinKellyNYC @loyaltytravels @BradtGuides @epicureanexpats @TheTravelCamel i agree.

And again, by "place", I could be being hyperlocal. I don't count "France" as a place. I've been to a lot of it but I've, for example, never been to Lyon. So if I went to Lyon I wouldn't consider it "going back to France" because I've never been *there* #trlt

replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides @loyaltytravels @CaitlinKellyNYC @epicureanexpats @TheTravelCamel Especially if you only have a limited amount of time. One of the problems with "slow travel" as a concept is that it implies you have the time to travel slowly. Most people don't. #TRLT
