A3 The pyramidal Palace of Peace and Reconciliation in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, is quite unusual. Black on one floor, white on another, an opera house inside and - to misquote Reeves and Mortimer - some doves from above, too. @loyaltytravels #TRLT

A3 Has to be the Pineapple, Dunmore. The 4th Earl of Dunmore was governor of Virginia, where sailors used to stick a pineapple on a gatepost to announce their return home. On being forced home in 1777, Dunmore added the biggest pineapple of the lot to mark his own return. #TRLT

A3: On a trip last autumn to the Drôme department in #France, I discovered Le Palais Idéal. A remarkable feat of architecture, built by the village postman over decades by picking up pebbles while on his post round. He was over 80 years old when he finished it. #TRLT

A3: This is a facade of a building along the Malecón of #Havana #Cuba. This was an art exhibit during Biennial. The material were peanut (mani) cones made out of paper. Those that have been to Cuba know how symbolic the mani cones are. via @Loyaltytravels #TRLT #TravelTuesday

A3: How about the Shell Grotto in Margate? No-one knows for sure how or why this came to be, or how some 4.6 million British shells were spirited here to create the elaborate wall designs. But it is spectacular! #TRLT

Italian Chapel, Orkney. Built by PoWs in World War II.

A3 Also in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, the 'ethno-memorial' complex at Atameken is a scale model of the country. You can admire Kazakhstan's architecture all in one place, crossing the country in under 4 hours. Like much of Nur-Sultan, it is gloriously bonkers. @loyaltytravels #TRLT

A3 Without doubt the Parkent Solar Furnace is one of the most unusual - and impressive - pieces of architecture I've seen on my travels in Uzbekistan. It belongs to the Academy of Sciences & reaches temperatures of 3000 Celsius! #TRLT

#Oman has great architecture notably Bahla fort which resembles a sandcastle. There is a modern take on Art Deco for its public buildings a real contrast to the glass & steel skyscraper eclecticism you see elsewhere in the gulf & is undoubtedly the better for it. #TRLT A3

From the Siq to the Treasury and monastery, everything was so mesmerizing. Walking via Al-Khubtha & the Royal Tombs trail was really something. The manmade work i witnessed, left me in complete surprise. #trlt
