replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @LindaPeters64 Those murals will go up regardless of whether you own the house or not. It’s a symbol of their history, regardless of what side you were on #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @TheTravelCamel Most of my traveling especially abroad has some type of family connection to it. #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A3 Although travel for tourism purposes is not legal for US citizens, the interactive/educational visits made our people-to-people tours to Cuba really well-rounded. #trlt #traveltuesday

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @findinganeish I genuinely have no idea *why*; I meant to look it up and, well, didn't. But yes. You get that across the world; international products and brands that sell very different things, to cater to local preferences/tastes. #TRLT

A2: The food options in the late afternoon at Forodhani Park in Stone Town, Zanzibar were worthy of a return visit! An authentic experience! #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool Yeah, I get that. I don’t take issue with the idea of adventure as much as the whole authenticity thing. Is bungee jumping in New Zealand, where it’s on the tourist trail, less authentic than in somewhere like Kazakhstan? Can you swim with sharks inauthentically? #TRLT
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot On the theme of kindness, I lived in China, waaay back, and was often randomly picked up on motorbikes in the rain by people who knew me, though I didn't know them. Or strangers would hold umbrellas over me. #trlt
replying to @ShebsAlom
@ShebsAlom @LindaPeters64 I was in an AirBnB near Falls Park and literally one street away was a huge mural about Gerry Adams.
You certainly know what side of history that part of Belfast was on! #TRLT

replying to @ChinaMatt Another one: In Fujian countryside, we went into the restaurant. There was no menu. They told us to pick out our dead animal and vegetables and tell them how to cook it. #trlt
replying to @galiciaoriginl @galiciaoriginl @CharlesMcCool @raptorsridge One of the best ways to enjoy an authentic experience is walking. Love this! #TRLT
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @TheTravelCamel There’s quite a lot of regional variation in McDonalds, whether it’s Irn Bru in Scotland, beer in the Netherlands, cheesecake in Germany or macarons in France. And I have authentically enjoyed all of them. #TRLT
