Remote Places
TRLT
Q1: What is the most Remote Place you have visited? Please share a photo! #TRLT #traveltuesday
#trlt A1: "remote" is an interesting word that means a lot of different things to different people.
Though an island whose details are not on Google Maps is probably a good start. Gaua, in northern Vanuatu, then. Maybe.

@TheTravelCamel A1. #TRLT | Tobacco Caye
3-acre isle on the Belize Reef. Getting here entailed a 12-mile ride through a sandbar-laden channel in the dark, thru a squall.

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski A1 Aw heck I jumped the gun, but I'd say the North Pole, which is technically not a place in that there's no land there, we just all agree it exists, GPS included #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A1: Probably Salluit, Quebec, Arctic Circle, on assignment as a reporter for the Montreal Gazette. Or maybe Maasai Mara in Kenya...Ko Phi Phi in Thailand. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A1. Not sure but during the pandemic I went to Oregon and was hiking and thought that this might be one of the remote places I had been during the pandemic. Was nice to be away from people even for a moment then because felt normal for a second. #TRLT
#trlt A1: but anywhere can be 'remote', given the state of mind.
Here, for example, is the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in Scotland. Quite a hike from the nearest village, even. And yet, only a few miles.

A1: One of the most Remote Places that I've visited is the scenic Cabot Trail, on Canada's East Coast in Nova Scotia.
After a full day of travel, including a 7 hour flight to Halifax, we needed to rest up to get on the road to enjoy the epic, remote beauty.
