#TRLT A3: Actually, a lot of the UK is like this. Only a short hop away from a town and you're into countryside, farming, wild coastline ... this is all in Orkney.

A3: a place that I've visited, that feels remote, but was not, is
Santa Cruz, California. What made it feel this way was the tranquility of Natural Bridges State Marine Reserve, a protected area located at the northern edge, approximately 75 miles south of San Francisco.
