replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A5. I eat! A lot! From tiny plastic chairs to local owned restaurants and unique places, its the best way. #TRLT
RT @TheTravelCamel: Q5: How do you connect with street culture during your travels. Share your suggestions! #TRLT
replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW One of the first things I do when arriving in a city (which is usually the afternoon) is to wander for a little in the surrounding area. Helps get a feel for a place. #TRLT
replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski #TRLT a5 - be open. Not everyone takes time to look at street art. Research it before heading to a place so you know where to go. Map a route in case people in your party aren't interested. 'Let's try this great lunch place here - oh look, it's next to some amazing street art! 😂
replying to @cherrydude
@cherrydude @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas Yes, definitely a part of Seattle's eclectic street culture, Eric. Did you add to the gum wall?
#TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas Brick Lane is a treasure trove #TRLT
RT @TheTravelCamel: @loyaltytravels mentioned this area in his answer too. Great street art! #TRLT
A5 I just try to talk to everyone I can. I ask them about their political views, and about how they see the world. Also, I love to ask about how people experienced relevant events (relevant to their country). #trlt

replying to @RossanaWyatt
@RossanaWyatt A beautiful glimpse of Scotland's street culture, Rosanna. ♡
#TRLT
replying to @DoroLef @DoroLef Yes, wandering the streets, and looking at all the art, and beauty everywhere. Doors and architecture are my list in urban areas too. #trlt.
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas Here are a few more from Wynwood in Miami, which has the 'Wynwood Walls' street-art venue that's surrounded by blocks of amazing graffiti-based art -- amazing art destination worthy of a trip just on its own! #TRLT
A5. I start by researching. I'll Google "[city] street art" and see what resources come up so I can make a list of places not to miss when visiting a new location. In some cases, if there are local experts, I follow them on social so I can be informed. #TRLT https://t.co/thcwQvLfNB
A3: While first thought might be an obscure international destination, I pick #NewOrleans. Music . . . Cocktails . . . History . . . Everyone should truly experience #BourbonStreet -- especially during #MardiGras.

replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas A5: Take public transport, ask locals questions and just wander round - lose your way, don't have a plan or time constraints. Safely. We stumbled on history, a wedding and traditional Andean dance troupe just by wandering around Cusco, Peru #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas But of course! #trlt
A5: Walking, taking public transportation, doing some research to discover where public art is, or locals gather to share music with others, plus where/when local markets are; all connect us with street culture during travels and share memorable adventures.

AGAIN #Q5: How do you connect with street culture during your travels. Share your suggestions! #TRLT
replying to @DoroLef @DoroLef Similar approach. I ask people about their lives and the situation in their country. They will move to speaking on the issues of most importance to them. #TRLT

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski A5) I mentioned this during last night's #RoadTripChat on visiting the First Nations of the Southwest United States, I'll apologize for my ignorance when asking a question about their culture. That way more often than not they're willing to help educate me then. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A5: just walk around and say hello. I went to a night market in Taiwan many years ago & it was fun as the sellers enjoyed my reactions to the different foods. They were eager for me to try stuff. Luckily, I had a friend who knew Mandarin so she translated. Just go with it #TRLT
RT @DoroLef: @RossanaWyatt To me, this is one of the best things about travelling :-) #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel It is so important to me, life-affirming and super interesting. #TRLT
