@HeidiSiefkas @LindaPeters64 A4: Visiting Carhenge in Nebraska was worth the 2 hour detour!
It's a life-size version of England's Stonehenge, but made out of cars! It's amazing! #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 The nearby Zillah Teapot Gas Station is a great attraction! #trlt a4

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A3 I visited recently in the Whale Sanctuary of El Vizcaino, in BCS Mexico where greywhales arrive close to boats interacting with people and allow people to touch them. It was fascinating me and when it happened it was really touching. #TRLT

A3- I took Latin in high school, and my teacher would always go off on Greek mythology tangents. It always made me want to see the acropolis in 🇬🇷#Athens

@LindaPeters64 A4 I don’t know if it’s famous, must be if it’s in the Guinness Book Of Records, but I have accidentally visited the Worlds Tallest Thermometer which is kinda quirky I guess.

#trlt A4: I have a passion for quirky things and unusual but notable historical points.
For example, the (site of the) world's first ATM / cash machine!
[They moved it round the corner so it wasn't in the way of the street]
Enfield, London.

A3 #TRLT What was it like to be at a Famous Place? for the famous places I visit, I work on feeling the history of the lives lived there, been both spooky ( ex:The Alamo, Andersonville, Culloden) and uplifting (ex: York Minster, Dublin Docklands, Taos Pueblo) 📸 Dublin #travel

A4 One of the quirkiest places I've visited on #trlt is the Parkent Solar Furnace, a short drive outside Tashkent. It belongs to the Academy of Sciences & concentrates the sun's rays to create extreme temperatures.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4 Does Venice qualify as an unusual famous place, we had the most amazing 6 hours in Venice, for sure! #trlt

A4. Hmm hard to decide what qualifies for this, but Dali is always good for some quirk. I don't know how famous the individual museums are in the Dali Triangle, Spain, but I think taken as a whole Dali's presence there is pretty famous. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A3 I had always watched documentaries on Vietnam and was fascinated as a youngster and wanted to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. We managed to a few years back #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A4) Petite France in South Korea certainly was different, I knew that "The Little Prince" was a popular book but I had no idea that it was so loved by the Korean people that they made a village in honor of it. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A3. I like heights and was living in the area, so why not? #TRLT

replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas @LindaPeters64 A4: Any building designed by Antoni Gaudi, specifically Casa Batlló in Barcelona, Spain, which looks like it is built with skulls and bones #TRLT

A3:A single internet photo of this theatre in Termessos, Turkey inspired us to get there during a trip around the world. Not nearly as famous as it should. It's sort of a small scale Turkish Machu Picchu. Great hiking, great views, and a history that isn't fully known. #TRLT

A4: one of the quirkiest Famous Places that I have discovered on The Road Less Travelled is an open air art exhibit in Lytton, B.C. created by eclectic metal artist, Ken Glasgow.
