A2 Uzbekistan's natural places are less famous than its monuments, but the Aralkum - the world's newest desert - was created in what was until recently the Aral Sea. #trlt
replying to @SKJtraveler
@SKJtraveler @TheTravelCamel I went during a drought so it wasn't quite as impressive, but I'm still glad I went.
Mind you, I equally had no intention to go into the water anyway. :D #trlt

We spent a week in Venice a few years ago. Would have been happy to spend another two. Weather was perfect: 20+ and sunny for 7 days. Drawn to it by the history and the unique beauty. An extraordinary place, especially so when you have time to explore and avoid the crowds.#TRLT

replying to @FE_photograph @FE_photograph If I found myself in the area again at max water time, I would definitely check it out! I'm sure it's incredible but peering over the edge was pretty darn cool, too. #trlt It was a last-minute add on to a safari in Botswana, so I didn't choose the time ahead of time.
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @SKJtraveler If you go when the water is too high - there is too much mist. Water too low - not as thunderous. I visit in August - it was perfect. #TRLT
