#trlt a2: i don't think there's any animal etc sounds that i associate witha place, tho I do always make the connection between grasshoppers/crickets and warm, humid, twilight hours. As in, I'd be confused if I heard them in Glasgow. :D

Grouse.
If you disturb a grouse and it flies up, it makes a really weird bird-call that if you're not expecting it, can be scary!
