A1: One of my favourite Ancient Places is the impressive Persepolis in Iran. Imagine this place when it was at the height of its power. #TRLT

A1 Sicily is a great place for ancient ruins. These photos (taken in the last millennium) show the Greek theatre at Syracuse, a mosaic at Piazza Armerina and the Valley of the Temples (with one of the temples), Agrigento #TRLT @postcardsplaces

This is either Herculaneum or Pompeii tho. I preferred Herculanium. It felt more like a small town I'd be comfortable wandering around in.

A1. I loved the Great Wall between Jinshanling and Simatai. Walked for ages without encountering other people. So impressive. (Persepolis is prob my actual favorite but I've posted pics of it many times for other topics, haha) #TRLT

#trlt A1: Newark Castle? At least two English Kings have died there or thereabouts. And while it looks fairly complete from this angle, that's pretty much literally all there is lol.

#trlt A1: Prasat Preah Vihear, in Cambodia (just!), that was quite cool - Ankhor-era ruins with almost no visitors.

A2 Some distinctly non-human remains at the Staffin Dinosaur Museum on the NE tip of Skye. A local man established the museum in 1976 after finding traces of Stegosaurus, Megalosaurus, Cetiosaurus, Hadrosaurus, and Ceolophysis in the area. #TRLT

#trlt A2: I mean, nature is by definition entirely ancient, but these caves in England seem to have been inhabited just as the ice sheets were retreating across northern europe.
