Ancient Places
TRLT

A2 #TRLT I spent last week in the natural wonders of the Soca Valley, #Slovenia. Mother Nature at her best. π @TheTravelCamel @JLipowski @RTWBarefoot

#TRLT A2: I used to own a telescope and took a few pics of the moon once. I guess that counts as ancient and natural?

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2) In Oregon one can see a fine exchange of an Ancient Place created by nature by visiting Crater Lake National Park which is made when an ancient volcano collapsed & was filled with centuries worth of rain & snow falls. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2: Holland Bamboo in Jamaica. @VisitJamaicaNow. I don't know how old, but it's older than me so it's old LOL. https://t.co/YpIsCpNhm1 #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2. India has so many of them. Himalayas (North to North East India), living root bridge (meghalaya), the caves etc. #trlt

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2. Being at this mountain in Saudi Arabia was amazing to me because I and others believe it is the real Mount Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Itβs in the area that will be the #Neom city of #KSA and their Trojena project. #TRLT

A3 Apollonia in Albania (visited almost 20 years ago!) Uninhabited since the 4th century, but plenty of remains including headless statues. We asked why they were headless. Local man's reply, after a long pause: 'Because they have no heads.' #TRLT @postcardsplaces

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski A2 here I am blocking the beautiful ancient landscape of @GlacierNPS Photo by @FunInFairfax #funness #TRLT

@TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A1. I really loved Amman, Jordan. The details of pictures shared can be read in my post - https://t.co/Dlm4vj5ZB9

#trlt A3: depends on your definition of 'little known'. I wouldn't call Skara Brae little 'known', but certainly if it wasn't on the edge of an island so far north, it would have far more visitors than it does.

A3: Las Geel in #Somalialnd is the most incredible lesser known Ancient Place I've visited. The remarkable 7000 year old paintings easily surpasses any other ancient rock art I've seen. #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot #TRLT A3: and, from maybe a few hundred years *earlier*; 3700 ish BC, one of the oldest buildings known in Europe ... the Knap of Howar.

A3. Gosh, I'd say a lot of them, though then I wouldn't have the places to myself anymore, haha. But one is Rayen ancient mud citadel in Iran; after Bam was destroyed in earthquake a lot of people just took that area off itinerary. But Rayen is amazing! #TRLT

replying to @Travel_Session @Travel_Session @TheTravelCamel @VisitJamaicaNow How was it? #TRLT. Sam Sharpe's Square in Montego Bay downtown

When you visit Newfoundland, plan to stay in St John's .... https://t.co/BY7r8xmMPQ for wonderful local sights and great day trips too! #TTOT #TRLT @CityofStJohns
