Q3 Aloe dhufarensis is a medicinal plant, cooling and with fantastic salmon pink flowers – a contrast to its barren, dramatic surroundings. #TRLT @RTWBarefoot

A3 We were amazed at the cactus we found when we visited the desert in the Saguaro National Park in Tucson. https://t.co/NvcpveeO2n #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @JLipowski @SaguaroNPS @charlesmccool

A3 Very little grows in Uzbekistan’s deserts but there are a few plant species well adapted to the dry climate. They help trap moisture & hold the soil together. They’re a vital part of the ecosystem. #trlt

A3. part 2 🙂 I also thought Baines' Baobabs were pretty cool in the Nxai Pan of Botswana. Driving across the nearly featureless salt pan to get to them, it's surprising to find an oasis of such giant trees. #Trlt
