A3. Numberless historical associations bind Westminster Abbey to the spirit of Britain. Every monarch since William the Conqueror has been crowned here and scores of the nation’s most revered people are buried on its grounds. #TRLT

A3 One of York's lesser known sights, @barconventyork - England's oldest surviving convent. The Neoclassical chapel contains an original priest hole, 8 exits and a dome built in 1769 which hides
under a pitched roof. (We liked the little note on the organ...) @LindaPeters64 #TRLT

A3: Pretty much all the temples in Egypt. Some of them are so well preserved that you can easily imagine how they used to look like in their glory days. The Valley of the Kings is pretty special as well, especially since you can visit some of the tombs. #TRLT

A3 Avebury in Wilts is famous for its Neolithic remains, but Avebury Manor is fascinating in its own right. Dates from the 1550s, and a collaboration with the BBC for a TV series means that each room now represents a different point in the house's history @LindaPeters64 #TRLT

A3 - Step through the portal into the past in the Tomb of Nefertari – Valley of the Queens – #Egypt - very much a time capsule. The relationship of rulers with the gods – and what fantastic artistry @LindaPeters64 @TheTravelCamel #TRLT - here the Queen is hand-in-hand with a God

A3 Mehrangarh Fort in Jodphur. It is incredibly well preserved and you can easily imagine the raj of the past wandering around its grand rooms. The excellent audio tour also really helped transport me back #TRLT

A3. More than any other ancient site in Iran, Persepolis embodies all the glory – and the demise – of the Persian Empire. After all, it was here that the Achaemenid kings received their subjects, celebrated the new year and orchestrated their rule. #TRLT

A3. Visiting Golubac fortress is like strolling through a timeline of Serbian history. Built by Hungarians in the 13th century, this impressive castle changed ownership more times than we can count before it was recaptured by the Serbs in 1867! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A3: This is the Central Railway station in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inside time stood still but in a very quaint way. I loved it! #TRLT The station opened in 1882; assuming it had some work done due to the wars.
