replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @RTWBarefoot A4. Slightly off key, but theatre buildings have just as interesting history as the productions they hold. My inspiration was phantom but her majesty’s theatre also has a fascinating past. 😊 #TRLT
replying to @KirstenAlana @KirstenAlana @RTWBarefoot Ah yes, that is where it was filmed. Is it possible to take a tour of some of the interior? #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A5 : an obvious choice. (Picture : Wikipedia) #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @georgiatravel_ Right?! It was quite remarkable. I would think the smell of both animal and human co-existing in the same space would be really difficult to take. But it was also beautiful. Represents a way of life that was probably better all things considered. #TRLT

A5 Historic house heaven is Twickenham, just west of London Heathrow. As well as Strawberry Hill House, there's Osterley, Syon, Ham and Marble Hill. And the more modest Turner's House (once home to the famous artist). And a grotto created by Alexander Pope! @BradtGuides #TRLT
replying to @ronanmaenardo @ronanmaenardo @BradtGuides A very good choice! I've not yet visited either. #TRLT
A5. When Benjamin Disraeli bought the Hughenden estate in 1848, he acquired an enhanced social status that sparked his transformation into Britain’s future Prime Minister. The power of the right of building! #TRLT

@TheTravelCamel It's remarkable how many times the *opposite* has happened; where I've been to a place made famous by a TV prog or movie or book etc, and I've not *seen* or *read* the material!
cf Tomb Raider / Game of Thrones / Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade / etc. #trlt
