A1: We've travelled specifically to see a historical building, when we visited the Holstein Gate, circa 1876 - 1887 in Lubeck, Germany. The gate marks the western boundary of the old centre of the city and represented it's elite status.

A1: At the start of the year, I flew out to Kars in the far east of Turkey to visit the ruins of Ani - an ancient Armenian city.
Well worth braving the sub-zero temperatures.

I do remember arriving here in the '80s. The new terminal is to the right, not as spectacular, but modern enough @VCBirdAirport
