A1 Nearly everyone who visits Samarkand comes here for the historic monuments. There are dozens of them within the @UNESCO World Heritage Site. #TRLT
replying to @istanbulplace @istanbulplace @georgiatravel_ Oh I don’t live in Georgia. I visited. But yes, the food culture in Georgia was such a huge part of my stay. I loved the food and am missing it. https://t.co/ThRxcU1mBE #TRLT @BradtGuides

Palenque in Mexico is one of the most beautiful sites I've visited. Not as well known as Chichen Itza but well worth visiting #trlt A2
I'll have to go with Borobudur, mostly because it was at sunrise on my birthday. #trlt https://t.co/irMdeEGMqW

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @BradtGuides A2) Castillo San Felipe del Morro in San Juan Puerto Rico impressed me by not only its size but that it was built between the 16th & 18th centuries and was in use well into the 20th century. #TRLT
replying to @KirstenAlana @KirstenAlana @TheTravelCamel @FourSeasons I visited it before it was changed back to a Mosque. What a beauty! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A2. I adore the Reichstag, though I’ve yet to take a good picture of it. It’s not quite my favourite Parliament building, but Bern’s Bundeshaus and Canberra’s New Parliament don’t seem as historic. #TRLT
replying to @mara_writes_ @mara_writes_ @TheTravelCamel @FourSeasons I was as well! #TRLT

A2 The most impressive monument I've visited - and one I return to time and again - is the Shah-i Zinda in Samarkand. The tiles are completely mesmerising. #TRLT
replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides And it's impressive on the inside as well, with doves of peace in the glass apex. #TRLT

replying to @findinganeish
@findinganeish @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides I wonder if there's a title for the world's least 'parliamentary'-looking parliament building.
Estonia's looks a bit like a standard city centre office building. #trlt
RT @matthew_ftravel: A2: It's already featured this evening, but the Registan in Samarkand has got to be my candidate.
Truly spectacular.…

A3. Numberless historical associations bind Westminster Abbey to the spirit of Britain. Every monarch since William the Conqueror has been crowned here and scores of the nation’s most revered people are buried on its grounds. #TRLT

A3 One of York's lesser known sights, @barconventyork - England's oldest surviving convent. The Neoclassical chapel contains an original priest hole, 8 exits and a dome built in 1769 which hides
under a pitched roof. (We liked the little note on the organ...) @LindaPeters64 #TRLT
