A1 Nearly everyone who visits Samarkand comes here for the historic monuments. There are dozens of them within the @UNESCO World Heritage Site. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @BradtGuides A2) Castillo San Felipe del Morro in San Juan Puerto Rico impressed me by not only its size but that it was built between the 16th & 18th centuries and was in use well into the 20th century. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A2. I adore the Reichstag, though I’ve yet to take a good picture of it. It’s not quite my favourite Parliament building, but Bern’s Bundeshaus and Canberra’s New Parliament don’t seem as historic. #TRLT

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides I wonder if there's a title for the world's least 'parliamentary'-looking parliament building.

Estonia's looks a bit like a standard city centre office building. #trlt

A3. Numberless historical associations bind Westminster Abbey to the spirit of Britain. Every monarch since William the Conqueror has been crowned here and scores of the nation’s most revered people are buried on its grounds. #TRLT

A3 One of York's lesser known sights, @barconventyork - England's oldest surviving convent. The Neoclassical chapel contains an original priest hole, 8 exits and a dome built in 1769 which hides
under a pitched roof. (We liked the little note on the organ...) @LindaPeters64 #TRLT
