Engineering Marvels
TRLT
A3: An unusual Engineering Marvel that I've seen is Lake Havasu's London Bridge. Built in the 1830s it formerly spanned the River Thames in London, England.
Dismantled in 1967, the blocks from the original bridge, numbered & transported to reconstruct the bridge in Arizona.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @RTWBarefoot #TRLT A2 - we'll keep it in Washington State again, so not the oldest we've seen, but 'older' for us here in the states. The 1940s with the largest dam in Washington. Grand Coulee. The laser show on the dam is a fun getaway!
A4 The first time I went to Bukhara it was to see the Kalon Minaret. Built in 1127, the architect, Bako, made the foundation "concrete" from alabaster and camel milk. and went off to do something else for two years whilst it set! #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4) Numerous times, having an Architecture & Civil/Structural Engineering background whenever I travel especially to a major city I want to see the engineering marvels there like London's Tower Bridge. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4: Perhaps the Hoover Dam in Nevada/Arizona #TRLT

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 Visiting Switzerland now and could not agree more! I'm blown away at how efficiently you can hop from valley to valley, mountain village to mountain village by rail. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4: Near Fort William there are two: Glenfinnan Viaduct and Neptune's Staircase (a flight of locks on on Caledonian Canal which is really difficult to get a good shot of). #TRLT
Wat Rong Khun, better known as The White Temple is one of the most recognizable temples in #Thailand #LoveThailand #trlt A4
A5: There's no way I can answer this with anything other than the Golden Gate Bridge #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 Yeah, it was still being built when I was there so definitely feels like unfinished business. And I just love the idea of the Vessel as a useful monument. #TRLT
A5: It has to be the world's newest Engineering Marvel the #ElizabethLine and one of the more expensive at $22.5 Billion @charlesmccool #TRLT @TheTravelCamel . Less ornate than the Soviet stations - it gives a slick hassle-free ride through #London even in a #Heatwave
The Bloomberg office in London is a 21st century engineering marvel well worth getting inside if you can. #trlt A5
