replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A4: Mount Rushmore is a fun cliffside monument. I recommend the side view from the road. on your way to the wonderful Needles scenic drive! South Dakota is amazing! #TRLT
A4 How about the Moorish Castle or the Pena Palace high on the cliffs in Sintra in Portugal? #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 @JLipowski @heidiSiefkas @pip_says @Touchse
A4 This. Irish monks decided to build a monastery on a rock, 218 metres above sea level, in the middle of the North Atlantic. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @DoroLef @postcardsplaces Grazie. Fortunately #WeAreInPuglia which does all the hard work for us! #TRLT
A4: Montezuma Castle, built between 1100 and 1425 AD, Camp Verde, Arizona, shares the ingenuity of the Singua people. Living 27m up a limestone cliff, with it's placement protecting it from exposure to the elements and enemy tribes, is admirable. #TRLT
replying to @loyaltytravels @loyaltytravels @TheTravelCamel I was definitely counting it, is also for the statue of Jesus that's weirdly half-way up the cliff face, in the most awkward spot imaginable. #trlt
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @postcardsplaces Clockwise from top left: Band-e-Mir National Park, Afghanistan; Wadi Rum, Jordan; rock church in northern Ethiopia; favorite plant in the world on a cliff in Northern California #TRLT
#TRLT A4: an ancient building (Hagar Qim) under a tarpaulin. standing on the top of a cliff on the south coast of Malta.
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel #TRLT A4: A building or monument constructed on a canyon, cliff or gorge… again, Petra: the Treasury gets most attention (thanks to Indians Jones!), but there are equally amazing ‘buildings’ carved from the rock face there, and many, many burial caves. And stunning colours.
A5: Setenil de las Bodegas is a village built inside a canyon. The houses are mostly caves dug inside the rocks. #TRLT

A4 - the dazzlingly White Mausoleum of Ahmad bin Isa al-Muhajir - Hadramaut #Yemen - set in the largest valley in #Arabia

A5 Most fun must have been a helicopter tour through the canyons in the Sedona Valley. https://t.co/Hv5sKaSQEk #TRLT @LindaPeters64 @heidiSiefkas @SedonaAZ @flyguidanceair
#trlt A4: Stoodley Pike, in Yorkshire, near Hebden Bridge. Big tower. Stands right next to a cliff.
One day I might actually get to see it ...
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A4: Can we get away with the Saracen watch towers that are dotted all around #Puglia’s coast, dating from the 16th century? #WeAreInPuglia, which was always prone to invasion (still is - tourists these days!). These are defensive structures and there are around 150 of them.#TRLT
