A1: I left Australia in December 2012. I've not returned to Australia since that time, nor settled in another country. Nearly 10 years without being in a place with any residence status - this is my longest journey. #TRLT
A1 Longest journey: a flight (London-Moscow) then 56 hours on the Trans-Siberian Express to Tomsk, where we said hello to Anton Chekhov (who was very rude about the people of Tomsk!) #TRLT @CaitlinKellyNYC

@TheTravelCamel @CaitlinKellyNYC A1: Longest was probably SEA to CPT Cape Town

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CaitlinKellyNYC A1. I've taken shortest train journeys to longer ones and so many of them. When i was a kid, to reach my granny's place, it would take us more than 30 hours in train and we would also have to break journeys sometimes owing to no direct trains. (Dont have pics at the moment) #trlt

#trlt A1: I hiked 952 miles across Great Britain once. 57 days.
If that counts as a 'journey' as opposed to 'a series of consecutive days of hiking, separated by rest and sleep'.

Getting to #NewZealand is about as long a journey as you can take from my home #trlt A1
RT @aok_NW: A1 #trlt Probably Cape Town, Africa. These pictures were taken in their early fall. https://t.co/LtyQDXAeUM
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @CaitlinKellyNYC A1. I did a solo trip in Australia from the Great Ocean Road to Airline Beach. Diving and wildlife were my biggest reasons to go. #trlt
#trlt A1: otherwise, I was on a train for about 4 days and 4 hours (it was late!), from Ulaanbaatar to Moscow. Back in 2006 when it wasn't trendy.

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @CaitlinKellyNYC A1) I'm not sure about the total distance but I imagine that my trip around the World via the Southern Hemisphere in 2018 is my longest trip. #TRLT

A1: The last time I went to Kenya it was D.C. to Istanbul to Mombasa. Over 24 hours from the time I left my house to when I arrived at my hotel. #TRLT
A1: the longest journey, in distance, that I've enjoyed was travelling to Australia's Gold Coast, at over 13,000 km.

A1: One of my longest journeys was from the east coast US to India in 2012--the beginning of a 5-month trip, 2 months in India. #TRLT
#trlt A1: out of interest, has anyone ever had the chance to go 'round the world in eighty days' (not necessarily following the original route, mind; transport options are quite different now)? It's probably the ultimate of my travel styling - the combo of 'slow' & 'fast' travel!

Time - 2 months is probably the longest trip I think. #TRLT

A1: In distance, probably my trip to Bali via Singapore with @JR_justJR and Bree. In time, probably a 7-week road trip visiting all three families over the holidays across the US with @himynameisalec9 #TRLT

A1: Another favorite long journey was my flight from Kereala, India, to Tallin, Estonia, on New Year's Day 2013--very different landscapes flying over Iran mountains, Middle East deserts, and winter snowstorms stopping in Qatar and St. Petersburg, Russia. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CaitlinKellyNYC A1. A family road trip from Canberra to Brisbane was longer than intended. Our accommodation was infested with spiders so we just pushed on through the night. #TRLT

On our recent Costa Rica travels, we tried to balance adventures, with a day of down time between them. #TRLT
