A1 Contrasting N Korea hotels: Hyangsan Hotel where we seemed to be the only guests (v. strange to the point of creepy); and a more traditional lodging in Kaesong where we slept on the floor. No doubt because it was late December, it was freeeeeezing. #TRLT @TravelAtWill

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @TravelAtWill A1) My accommodations in Paris was quite memorable, the hotel was built over 150 years ago, the room was nice with high ceiling which helped you forget that it wasn't that big of a space but when I opened the window I could see how huge the Louvre across the street was. #TRLT

Those out of-the-ordinary things! e.g. my boat trip up the River Gambia with on-shore accommodation getting rougher and rougher each night, culminating in a shower with a massive (unidentified) insect nest in the corner 😆 🐜

A1 Quirky + unusual is good e.g. the Egyptian House in Penzance (once a museum and geological shop) and the Bath House near Stratford-upon-Avon, an octagonal folly with shells in the main room and a plunge pool in the basement. Both are owned by @LandmarkTrust #TRLT @TravelAtWill

❤️government-run @paradores #hotels in #Spain. Remarkably well-preserved landmark buildings like this #castle in Cardona that have been turned into hotels. Helps pay for upkeep of these incredible #buildings and allows everyone to enjoy them! @LaPatrii @Spain @SpainInUSA #TRLT
