#trlt A1: ... see, I don't really think about accommodation, because to me it's largely just 'a bed', somewhere to spend the night while I'm in a place to do other things. So I don't really pay attention?

A1 Contrasting N Korea hotels: Hyangsan Hotel where we seemed to be the only guests (v. strange to the point of creepy); and a more traditional lodging in Kaesong where we slept on the floor. No doubt because it was late December, it was freeeeeezing. #TRLT @TravelAtWill

Have been going since the year 2001. But I also remember every detail of a cheap room in Florence decades ago. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @TravelAtWill A1) My accommodations in Paris was quite memorable, the hotel was built over 150 years ago, the room was nice with high ceiling which helped you forget that it wasn't that big of a space but when I opened the window I could see how huge the Louvre across the street was. #TRLT

Those out of-the-ordinary things! e.g. my boat trip up the River Gambia with on-shore accommodation getting rougher and rougher each night, culminating in a shower with a massive (unidentified) insect nest in the corner 😆 🐜
