A1: I love archaeological sites - I like to imagine the place in its glory days. The people, noise, activity. #TRLT

A1. Itās hard for us to choose our favourite kind of historical placeā¦which is why they're all listed in our book, Heritage Weekends! From literary cities to 11th-century castles, this guide has it all. #TRLT

#TRLT A1: ... yes?
One of my main niches *is* history. So any/all, pretty much; whatever's there and appropriate for the subject matter in hand.
Though it helps if there's some kind of information board so I know what I'm looking *at* lol.
A1 Hard to choose, but museums can concentrate a huge range of #history in one place. @DorsetMuseum is a great example - some old school displays but also interactivity - v. child-friendly #TRLT @BradtGuides

A1 #TRLT For me, I like actual historic sites. I like to stand there & think about what the people at the time must have been thinking. Walking the city wall in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

We endorse this message! Britain's huge choice of historic places is one of its most glorious characteristics A1 #TRLT https://t.co/l6Jr6Zudby
A1 Cities/town/villages where people still walk the same streets/live in the same buildings as others have done for centuries (šøCefalu, Italy) #TRLT

A1. We love a good archaeological site, and for that there is no better place to visit than Orkney. Including Neolithic villages and ancient stone circles, the archaeological wonders on this Scottish archipelago are must-visits! #TRLT

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW Same - it really helps to imagine what places were once like when there aren't many other people around #TRLT
replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides Orkney is fab. I will go back sooner rather than later, as when I went some sites were still closed because of pandemic-ness #trlt
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @BradtGuides A1: Too many to choose. One favorite in London is Sir John Soane's house, 18th c, full of amazing artifacts -- like a sarcophagus in the basement. #TRLT
