A1: I love archaeological sites - I like to imagine the place in its glory days. The people, noise, activity. #TRLT
A1. It’s hard for us to choose our favourite kind of historical place…which is why they're all listed in our book, Heritage Weekends! From literary cities to 11th-century castles, this guide has it all. #TRLT

A1 Hard to choose, but museums can concentrate a huge range of #history in one place. @DorsetMuseum is a great example - some old school displays but also interactivity - v. child-friendly #TRLT @BradtGuides
A1 #TRLT For me, I like actual historic sites. I like to stand there & think about what the people at the time must have been thinking. Walking the city wall in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
A1 Cities/town/villages where people still walk the same streets/live in the same buildings as others have done for centuries (📸Cefalu, Italy) #TRLT
A1. We love a good archaeological site, and for that there is no better place to visit than Orkney. Including Neolithic villages and ancient stone circles, the archaeological wonders on this Scottish archipelago are must-visits! #TRLT

A1: One of my favourite kinds of Historic Places to visit is walled cities; it feels like you are stepping back in time.
Quebec city's winding cobbled streets, stone houses, cafés and shops, reflect France's aspirations to settle in North America.

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @BradtGuides A1: Churches in a historical sense are beautiful #TRLT #Montreal
#TRLT A1. Impossible to choose: museums, historic houses, castles, cathedrals...even industrial sites.
A1. On England’s Jurassic Coast, it’s possible to see the remnants of history up close. Spend a day on Charmouth beach, and children are just as likely to end up with ammonites in their buckets as blennies or crabs! #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @BradtGuides A1) Since I volunteered at John Muir National Historic Site for over 25 years I tend to lean towards historic sites & parks because they can put you in their element at a particular time in history. #TRLT
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @BradtGuides We agree. @PetrieMuseEgypt in London is barely 2 rooms, but the most extraordinary collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts #TRLT
We love visiting historic architecture. The Alhambra in Granada, Spain is just absolutely breathtaking! A must visit: https://t.co/pVvxi7V48T. 🇪🇸 #TRLT @TheTravelCamel #travel #TravelTuesday #spain

@TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A1: I often visit religious buildings when visiting somewhere.
They hold a lot of history and are pretty too 😊
