replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 Greetings #TRLT from Southern Nevada where the Virgin Mountains are nice to look at though I'm not sure if you'd like to hike them in the extreme heat of the Mojave Desert in the Summer.

#trlt A1: i mean, on a simplistic level, i get bored waiting around for things to happen, so I like to be on the move.

But also it's a great way to see things that you might miss from a faster moving method of transport.

#trlt A1: also, it allows you into places and see things you can't in any other way, which I guess makes those places quite special.

A1 Enjoying fresh air, nature's abundant beauty and sleeping better are all noticeable benefits of walking and hiking that inspire me to get outside and explore.

A1 Sometimes it's a pilgrimage, such as our trip along the John Buchan Way in the Scottish Borders, in the footsteps of the famous author (but look out for those leaping lambs...) #TRLT @LindaPeters64

I like wandering. It's more quiet walking. #trlt https://t.co/fh7AxK3Vnb

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A1) Besides the health benefits of going for a saunter (as John Muir called it). Going for a walk/hike especially in nature allows you to escape everyday life and reconnect with Mother Nature. #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @postcardsplaces A2: I recently hiked along Erik Hale Beach on Aero Island, Denmark. It’s exceptional because you can find (with a guide) numerous edible (and yummy) plants. #TRLT #Denmark @TheTravelCamel @JLipowski @LindaPeters64

A2: Loved hiking at Canyonlands National Park. Big views, far fewer people than at the Grand Canyon. #trlt
