Urban Exploring
TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4. I think the most fulfilling city breaks are the most multifaceted. Yes, it’s nice to see the sights and feed off the excitement of a crowd, but it’s also nice to branch off. I find following a river to be a great way to bisect a place and get a more rounded view of it. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A4) I like to take some type of organized tour of an urban area/city that will show me the major landmarks so I don't have to figure out how to get to each on my own. #TRLT

replying to @ChinaMatt @ChinaMatt It's very beautiful and evocative. Congrats! #TRLT (I looooove black and white images.)

replying to @TravelAtWill @TravelAtWill @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool Yeah, definitely. I’d have missed so much without a tour guide to put it into context for me. #TRLT

replying to @kullin
@kullin Magical reflection! Yes online explorations can uncover some hidden gems. We discovered an unfinished, empty resort, around a cove from us, to enjoy a secluded beach, in the Yucatan Peninsula, on Google maps.

RT @ChinaMatt: Find a park or cafe with a view, like I did in Hanoi. #trlt https://t.co/zumwJziOCa

Q5: Where do you find a quiet place to relax when you are exploring urban areas? Please share a photo! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A5: Tough, but some urban areas have parks so that helps :) #trlt

replying to @CaitlinKellyNYC @CaitlinKellyNYC @TravelAtWill @LindaPeters64 @CharlesMcCool I haven't done that but I have taken the Staton Island Ferry numerous times that gave me a great view Lower Manhattan & the Statue of Liberty. #TRLT

A5 Always great to enjoy some relaxing time in gardens in a city. We sure loved Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens on a stay in London. https://t.co/r1lTR6zDf6 #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 @JLipowski @heidiSiefkas @pip_says @Touchse @VisitLondon @VisitEngland

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4: walk. Just did a walk through the local area here in Manama, Bahrain #trlt

A5 #TRLT In Hong Kong, I remember they had parks where you could stop & take a break. They even had Wi-Fi.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A3: years ago, I did a walling tour with a guy in Manila. He's since passed on, but it was amazing! #trlt

A5: finding quiet places to relax when I'm exploring urban areas takes me to green spaces, bookshops, churches, libraries, or if I'm lucky an uncrowded beach. ⛱️

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A3: I do drunk tours of historic pubs in London like this one on Bow Lane, #London. Sir Christopher Wren stayed there while St Paul's Cathedral was being built #TRLT

#Singapore Botanic Gardens is a quiet place to relax in a hectic city #trlt @nparksbuzz A5

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A5) I've found that since I travel mostly off season that urban parks are a good place to go for some quiet time. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A5. Not every urban space has parks and gardens to enjoy, but everywhere I’ve been has a cemetery. #TRLT

replying to @FE_photograph @FE_photograph @nparksbuzz This looks like a great spot to relax. #TRLT

replying to @CaitlinKellyNYC @CaitlinKellyNYC @TravelAtWill @LindaPeters64 @CharlesMcCool When I was living near Philadelphia we found that driving to Staton Island and taking the Ferry was a good & cheap way to get to Manhattan. #TRLT

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @TheTravelCamel One of the cemeteries in Toronto often has a bagpipe player at sunset. A really great experience. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 Hiya. A lot late today, missed the time as in Bahrain #trlt.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @TravelAtWill A2; I actually love Bangkok, #Thailand. People always head to the landmarks and tourist strips but mooching around other areas of the city and going to local night markets is where you find the real Bangkok, not the seedy one #TRLT

replying to @TravelAtWill @TravelAtWill @nparksbuzz It was just the perfect escape #trlt
