@TheTravelCamel A1 As a family, we like a bit of everything, with a slight tendency to science and technology.
And I like a good car museum myself.

A1: What type of museum do you like visiting when you travel -
in general I enjoy a historical Museum - esp ancient history - as here at 3 different museums - a themed visit of Akhenaten #TRLT @postcardsplaces
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A1. Mummies and/or dinosaurs are always a winner. That said, I’m usually more interested in the building housing the collections than the exhibits themselves. #TRLT
replying to @kerrydexter @kerrydexter @TheTravelCamel @KelvingroveArt I adore @KelvingroveArt inside & out. Wicked cool place. #TRLT

Deutsches Museum: Munich 🇩🇪
So much science and technology in 1 building.
I completely nerd out on physics, geology, astronomy.
Plus, on clear day, rooftop view of Alps, incl. Zugspitze.

replying to @KirstenAlana @KirstenAlana @TheTravelCamel @KelvingroveArt It is that. Always favourites to revisit and new things discover or notice, including the changing lights on these. #TRLT

A2 Pedant's point: there's no such thing as 'most unique'! Anyway, N Korea's International Friendship Exhibition is a collection of gifts from foreign leaders to NK's rulers. No photos allowed inside: imagine the Generation Game conveyor belt x 1 million. #TRLT @postcardsplaces
A2 #TRLT Probably the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb, Croatia. These are stories of relationships & how they ended, with artifacts that were used during or when the relationship ended.
A2 There’s nowhere quite like the Savitsky Museum in Nukus. It’s nicknamed the Museum of Forbidden Art because so many of the artists exhibited there were purged by Stalin, yet Savitsky managed to rescue their artworks & keep them safe in faraway Karakalpakstan. #TRLT
A2 For unusual #museums, look no further than Margate's @CrabMuseum. Does exactly what it says on the, er, tin. Humorous and educational, with a diorama of a fictitious 1926 English town. There's a small 'Carb Museum' as well. Marvellous. #TRLT @postcardsplaces
replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski Loved the Thyssen in Madrid. A must see. #TRLT #Madrid #Spain #travel #art
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @postcardsplaces A2. I went to a Sistine Chapel exhibit this year. That might not seem especially strange, but it was in an ice rink in Glasgow. I also went to an excellent 9/11 exhibition in, er, Leipzig. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel As we are home to one of the largest ag museums on the west coast. We like ag museums! @CentralMuseum #trlt a1
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A2: The sex museum in Amsterdam was lots of fun, and eye opening. This is the only SFW photo I have of it. #TRLT
A2: one of the most unique museums that I've enjoyed visiting on The Road Less Travelled is the Surf Museum in Santa Cruz, California.

A2. The [museum] Hall of Opium somewhere near Chiang Saen was the most unusual and indescribable place I’ve ever been. I don’t have photos but it’s… memorable none the less. #TRLT

A2 #TRLT A unique aspect of Museum of Newry & Mourne is that there are many layers to the place itlsef, from medieval castle (& earlier) to bakery, to current museum --several places you can see into these past uses. It's in Newry, NI
