Q5: What tips can you share for getting the most out of museum experiences? via @postcardsplaces #TRLT
A5 Don’t try to look at everything in a large museum. Focus on particular objects that interest you. Pictured: a ship’s biscuit converted into an electric plug, Museum of Global Communications, Porthcurnow, Cornwall #TRLT @postcardsplaces

@LindaPeters64 @postcardsplaces A5: Go in early so miss the crowds, and take you time, go around slowly to get everything. And don't be afraid to ask questions to the staff.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A5: Take your time! Rest. Have lunch or a coffee there. Don't try to cram in everything on a list. Also, maybe pick a small and specific section of a huge one -- the the Roman galleries at the Met. #TRLT

@TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A5. Don’t rush, take your time and grab an audio guide if available. They really are handy 😊
Whenever I go with my nieces, I always ask if they have activity packs available, it keeps them so engaged & never do they say that they’re bored. #TRLT
A5 If I am enjoying it, I want to take it all in. So what I've learned is I need to give myself the time (not have something to rush to after) and to make sure I have snacks :) #TRLT https://t.co/yNilkVhfeR
A5 #TRLT If you can buy tickets ahead, do. Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid where the Guernica mural is displayed is a good example of where you can dodge long lines doing this. I’d also go to the website to research & see if it’s what you want to see.
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @postcardsplaces A5) Open your mind, try not to be judgemental about what is & what isn't exhibited since the majority of museums have limited space & usually have to rotate their exhibits. #TRLT

Check what’s available online
(opening times; tickets in advance? timed tickets?)
Check if they’ve got any map: washrooms; best route to maximize what you see/experience; is there cafe for a sip and nosh
Take. Your. Time.
Stop. Look. Breathe.
#trlt A5: there's a lot of museums. Don't feel the need to go to them all - only go to those you feel you actively want to or which you feel are the most interesting. Even if the others are "must sees", don't worry about them if you know you'd only be going to tick it off.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A5. Look beyond traditional museums. There are exhibitions worth checking out everywhere. I really enjoyed this collection of political cartoons on the lakeside in Geneva. #TRLT

A5: to get the most out of museum experiences, check to see if they have free days or pay what you can, then utilize the saved dollars to purchase a souvenir in the gift shop.
