replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski @postcardsplaces A2) Costa Rica's Pre-Columbian Gold Museum was unique because it was a mix bag of exhibits, from the gold & currency which we couldn't photograph to the cultural & natural history of the country. #TRLT

#trlt A2: oh there was also the Zagreb 80 museum in, uhm, Zagreb, that was an interactive apartment set out like as if it were in 1980. That was interesting. And disturbingly nostalgic.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel Yes, someone chopped up their significant other’s furniture if I remember right. #trlt
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot I’m not massively into museums, but the ones I like tend to be more recent history, like the last 100-200 years of a place - this kind of context is quite helpful to make sense of a place #trlt

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot A2: I would add the Titanic Museum in Belfast, which one could assume is maudlin and gross but it's not. It really places the ship in the larger context of Belfast's industrial history and pride. The bldg. is the shape and size of the ship. #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 I'm glad that the National Park Service has preserved them as they were instead of trying to recreate them. #TRLT
replying to @maycausewanderl @maycausewanderl yeh. I'm a bit like that with dark history; I'm like 'welp, I remember this happening' so it's interesting for me to kind of go full circle on it. Like Chernobyl, if that counts as a museum #trlt I recall the original incident!
RT @UnionGapWA: @TheTravelCamel As we are home to one of the largest ag museums on the west coast. We like ag museums! @CentralMuseum #trlt…

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @CrabMuseum @postcardsplaces Scotland too! Such as Skye's Giant MacAskill Museum in honour of Angus MacAskill, for reasons the picture makes obvious. @HMatthews67 has turned it into a new version of that upper-middle-working class TV comedy sketch from the 60s #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @DrNeilMatthews @CrabMuseum @postcardsplaces I wonder what the star attraction of a pencil museum would be? A pencil I suspect, but what type of pencil? #TRLT

A3 Any number of great small/local #museums in the UK, but we visited Ripon in Yorkshire for 3 @RiponMuseums on a law and order theme: prison and police, workhouse and (not pictured) the courthouse. #TRLT @RTWBarefoot
