Depends where you are. Mostly palaces in Asia, castles in Europe, forts in N. America.

A1- I don't have a preference between castle, palaces and forts, but I visually like ones next to water

A2 We loved visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra but were stunned by the amazing Red Fort - inside and outside! https://t.co/HNP6BYE3TB #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @JLipowski @t_jh2009 @incredibleindia

A2 #TRLT Fort Siloso in Singapore was interesting. This is where they fought off the Japanese during World War Two.

@TheTravelCamel @t_jh2009 A2: I’m damn lucky: a fort is walking distance from my house in Waterville, County Kerry!
Loher Fort; there are many stone forts on the Iveragh peninsula. #TRLT #Ireland #travel

replying to @t_jh2009 A2) It would be Fort Point National Historic Site, a Civil War era fort in San Francisco. My first visit was when I was a kid. My friends and I had a blast checking it out and playing pretend. When I go back, those memories return. #TRLT

A2 We recently visited Umerkot/Umarkot Fort, an 11th century construction in Pakistan's Sindh province. Local legend tells of a girl, Umar Marvi, abducted and held here by the local ruler who wanted to marry her. She said no - he let her go (eventually). @t_jh2009 #TRLT

A2: My favourite fort by a large margin is Krak des Chevaliers in Syria. Seen no other fort that come close to the grandeur of this. #TRLT

replying to @ChinaMatt @ChinaMatt Good point. Though there are some great castles in Japan. #TRLT

A2 The Irish name Aillte an Mhothair means the cliffs of An Mothar (the ruin). On the cliffs of Hag's Head is the ruin of a stone fort called Moher O'Ruan. It gives the cliffs their name. #TRLT
I am not into forts so much since I am anti-war and anti-hate. #Ireland.

A2 The forts of San Marino were fascinating to see in this country inside of Italy. https://t.co/l4arXqF2bI #TRLT @RTWBarefoot @t_jh2009 @VisitSanMarino

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @t_jh2009 A2: Agra fort in Agra, India. But better than the Taj I think #trlt https://t.co/LQw5I1gul9

A2: a favorite forts that I've visited is Fort Langley, known as the birthplace of British Columbia, Canada. 🍁
Built in 1827, as a Hudson’s Bay Company fur trading post, located on the Fraser River, it was once part of a trade route for the British Empire.
