A5: Near the sea entry to Inverness, Fort George was built after Culloden (1746) to prevent further rebellions. It became a training base for regiments recruited in Scotland – especially, ironically, from the Highlands. Still a working fort but also a museum.

A5 Hatley Park National Historic Site, located in Colwood, Greater Victoria, British Columbia, is the site of Hatley Castle, a Federal Heritage Building. Since 1995, the mansion and estate have been used for the public Royal Roads University.
