A5: a favourite story about a unique travel experience, leads me back to sailing in Australia's Whitsunday Islands. After spotting a venomous snake trying to board the ship, we all we're much more aware of the hazards the locale held.

replying to @loyaltytravels @loyaltytravels @t_jh2009 Landed in Taiwan once as a typhoon was near. The captain warned that we made need to abort the landing due to winds, and if that happened, to not worry about the roar of the engines was we gain altitude again. We landed safely. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @t_jh2009 A4 Border crossing. Lesotho to SA. Passport check, the customs officer picked his nose. I told him no way that he can touch my passport. He left + got back. I presented my passport + could move on. As I jumped into my vehicle I was asked to open the boot for a check etc. #trlt

#TRLT A5 back in the day, a travel agent confused AMS with ASM. Thinking that there was no such country as Eritrea. I noticed the error.

Landed, stayed on the tarmac for half an hour, then flew back to Glasgow when all was clear.

replying to @loyaltytravels @loyaltytravels @t_jh2009 Never had one - that was the closet. It was a fantastic landing by the pilot - the rain was horizontal and the wind was gale force. Thankfully, it was a head wind - had it been from the side it would have posed a problem I reckon. #TRLT
