replying to @FE_photograph @FE_photograph Excellent answer - it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site I believe. #TRLT

replying to @CaitlinKellyNYC @CaitlinKellyNYC I went to South Africa during my trip around the world in 2018. #TRLT

A2 The monuments in Karakalpakstan were far more ornate than I expected. I’d anticipated just desert castles. #trlt

Q3: What is the most Famous Place located near you? Inspire us with a photo! via @postcardsplaces #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2. Most places are usually subtly different. I don’t tend to imagine them with queues, car parks or scaffolding for a start. #TRLT

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish Ah yes, scaffolding - the great enemy of a great photo. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @t_jh2009 It is indeed! That would’ve been embarrassing if my famous place had’t actually been famous. #TRLT

replying to @UZAmbassador @UZAmbassador The lighting in these photos is lovely. #TRLT

The Grand Canyon, in early October (2018).
Lots of people still in shoulder-season; can't imagine volume or numbers in summer peak.
North Rim: worth the drive around.
South Rim: those views though.

A2- The #GrandCanyon was more than I expected. Pictures don't do the size justice.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A3: 25 miles south of our home is NYC, with the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and many more. #trlt

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @t_jh2009 I probably would not have known it had I not been myself - but the shape of that monolith rock is unmistakable. #TRLT

replying to @Travel_Session @Travel_Session It is soooooo amazing. Have been twice. #trlt

replying to @t_jh2009 A3) Sure Las Vegas is famous but the Hoover Dam might be the largest single tourist attraction in the region. #TRLT

Oxford and London are the most famous places I can get to in less than an hour #trlt A3

replying to @ChinaMatt @ChinaMatt @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces Nope. We actually live affordably and well in a Hudson rivertown, and are in midtown Manhattan within a 40-minute drive. #trlt

Within the state, Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. Paterson Falls and Edison Labs are close, too. #trlt https://t.co/Og8KwaN0Qb

A3: Since I'm currently in Dubai, the most famous site in this famous site is the Burj Khalifa. Saw it twice today going to and from #ATMDubai #TRLT

replying to @fotoeins @fotoeins @TheTravelCamel @GrandCanyonNPS @ArizonaTourism @AZTourismNews @VisitTheUSAca @VisitTheUSA Definitely somewhere i want to revisit. The all day bus journey from Vegas left us with just a few minutes observation time #trlt

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @t_jh2009 It was so much bigger than I expected. Spotted it miles out. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel Is it just an office building or also residential? #trlt

Geneva in Upstate New York was a great base for exploring the Finger Lakes region. https://t.co/D09KxJ67Y4 So many great discoveries on one trip. #TTOT #TRLT @Geneva_NewYork

A3 #TRLT There’s a lot of history in the area, but for most recognized, I’d pick Haystack Rock 10 miles South in Cannon Beach. It was featured in the movie The Goonies which was filmed entirely in the area among other movies.

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @t_jh2009 Agree, it dominates the entire city. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel Don't usually suffer vertigo but this is one of the few towers I've been too and got anything close to feeling unsteady #trlt

@ChinaMatt Similar looking to Othello Tunnels, in Hope, British Columbia, where the railway decommissioned tunnels and turned them into a hiking trail.

Great question! Most well-known views along South and with good reason. Also, go North on separate day(s) if weather cooperates and time allows; North only gets 10% of all annual visitors to GrCa 😳 I've attached here a view from North Rim's Point Imperial:
