TRLT

Welcome to today's #TRLT on Rivers, Lakes, and Waterfalls. Please greet your host @TheTravelCamel, @LindaPeters64 & @RTWBarefoot. I'm tweeting from Southern Nevada where are you joining us from this week?

Good morning from hot and sunny Metro Vancouver, B.C.
Where are joining today's #TRLT chat from?

A1: Favourite river - so many . BUT - of all it has to be #Egypt's Nile - longest, probably most historic, and a never ending series of towns along the banks. Here is Luxor - looking across the river to Luxor Temple. @t_jh2009 #TRLT

Hi from at home in Toronto on Lake Ontario! My camera role is full of great water pics. #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 @JLipowski @heidiSiefkas @RTWBarefoot @t_jh2009

@TheTravelCamel @RTWBarefoot @LindaPeters64 @t_jh2009 Hiya everyone :-).
Greetings from Houston where it's currently 85F/29C and a humidity of 59%. Welcome everyone. #TRLT Photo is of one of the waterways (the Ocean I believe) in the Faroe Islands

#TRLT A1: I'm fond of rivers. In general.
I'm especially fond of rivers which tell a story. This is (what remains of) the Amu Darya, in Uzbekistan. The Oxus in antiquity, and one of those 'beyond this river is unknown's, the Soviets destroyed it with bad agricultural management.

#trlt A1: I'm not saying it's a favourite, but I live close to a park in Glasgow with a nice lake. These pics were taken in December, when it was frozen over.

replying to @t_jh2009 A1) One of my favorite lakes is Lake Tahoe, I've been going there for 15 years and will be there again in two weeks. It has so much to offer beyond its sheer beauty. #TRLT

A1 My favourite river might be the Douro River in Portugal. From the amazing city of Porto up through the wine country of the Douro Valley. https://t.co/XGbcj7iRw7 #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @JLipowski @t_jh2009 @visitporto @visitportugal @Portugal

A1: I grew up next to Cross Timbers Lake in Kansas (it was called Toronto Lake back then) and it will always have a special place in my life. We visit family there often and always spend time on the lake or hiking in the woods. Here are a couple pictures of our last visit. #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @t_jh2009 A1: Oh, so many! Lakes and rivers are particular faves, not so enamoured with waterfalls. Königssee and Obersee in Bavaria, Germany are some of my favourites - was there last week 🥰 #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @t_jh2009 A1: I've only done this once. but it's worth doing again :-0. It's the New York Harbor seen from the Staten Island ferry at sunset. #TRLT More sights here - https://t.co/P2LMdatKC1 #whereisKerwin

A1 #TRLT One waterfall near me is Young’s River Falls discovered by a hunting party on the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Young’s River dumps into the mouth of the Columbia River pictured with the 4 mile bridge to Washington.

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @t_jh2009 A1) I gotta go with some new favourite waterfalls we just spotted in Milford Sound, New Zealand! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @RTWBarefoot @LindaPeters64 @t_jh2009 Hi I'm joining from Delhi tonight. #trlt

A1 The view of the Lake Brienz and Thun Lakes in Interlaken were great from all points. But amazing when we took the funicilar high above the town. https://t.co/VKphKvPmI2 #TRLT @LindaPeters64 @heidiSiefkas @t_jh2009 @grupointerlaken @myinterlaken

A1: Kuang Si Waterfall in Luang Prabang, Laos, is a very fond memory I have of a remarkable waterfall. I cannot believe it’s been 4 years since I was there! #TRLT #bgtw
