A2: I love visiting cemeteries. Pere Lachais in Paris is a fave!
I visited my 2nd & 3rd great grandparents graves in Mount Gambier while driving across Australia and on a later trip to South Australia, visited some other 3x great grandparents #TTOT

replying to @wheresshellyii @wheresshellyii I've always known what cities the majority of my ancestors called home, but don't know the details of where in the city itself. That's OK because hopefully it means I can do more research and return later. #TTOT

A2. I actually love visiting cemeteries when I travel - not to find relatives, but just to learn about the history of a place and its people. I loved Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires, #Argentina. #TTOT

A2 Cemeteries are fascinating in how they differ from culture to culture. I'm so glad you had this wonderful experience in #Romania. These things show a lot about attitudes towards death in different places. #TTOT https://t.co/SDtU4EIHuw

A2 I took my father of Norwegian descent to Norway. We didn’t even have correct names nor places but it was fun to look for our name in cemeteries – different spellings. Anyway “Holverson” is the “Son of Holver” (1st name) so the next generation had different names #TTOT @pixabay

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @wheresshellyii A2 #TTOT Central Europe is fantastic for exploring cemeteries, especially some particularly old ones.

In Vienna, the central cemetery has a cluster of the graves of famous composers, such as Beethoven, Brahms, Salieri and Strauss.

A3: My family has been very interested in genealogy for a long time. So I have solid knowledge of where the majority of my ancestors lived before emigrating to the United States. I've been to a maternal spot in Germany and paternal spot in Sweden. #TTOT
