A1 Goa - India’s most sought-after beach destination.Unfortunately, increasing number of tourists mean increasing commercialization. Beach encroachments, waste dumping etc are common these days.

A1 However, with age of responsible tourism, the government and civilians have started being vigilant and responsible. The aim is to enjoy nature not at the cost of destroying it.

A1 Overtourism is a chronic complex situation. Places crowded at peak times are NOT considered Overtourism. To advise people to avoid certain places all-year can be irresponsible & detrimental to local residents & economies. RESEARCH THE ISSUES FIRST https://t.co/v4z5GdW1ZT #TTOT

A1 Very good example of a destination that has survived but evolved in many different directions. Sad to see it all come to this #Goa #India Thanks for sharing. #TTOT https://t.co/So4H2M3pjx

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @theexploringeye A1- I could point a plethora of places where over tourism has sucked the soul out of the city’s beauty and serenity. But the great wall of #China, Maya Bay Beach and the beautiful Inca heritage of #MachuPicchu have been the worst in my last trips. #Travel #TTOT

A1 Good to know @wheresshell whats behind some of the cherry blossom photos but sad to know they need to work on capacity control & regulations. #Kyoto #TTOT https://t.co/8ardADEcLn

A1 This is a good attitude to take. We must save what we have, and we must start now. #Goa #TTOT https://t.co/xNzSLDiJDY

replying to @wheresshellyii @wheresshellyii @theexploringeye A1 #TTOT - Places might suffer from Overtourism because they are good. So, for instance parts of Bali such as Kuta at certain times of year have problems with for instance dirty beaches but even in a place like Bali there are still unspoiled places. This picture is Kuta.

A1 I recently visited Machu Picchu and was disappointed at how crowded it was. Having last been in 2000 it was amazing how out of control tourism seems to have become @TheExploringEye #TTOT
