Q2) via @AardvarkSafaris Is having UNESCO status good for the conservation of a site and its local community or a negative (due to overtourism)? #TTOT
Golfers - enjoy a range of discounts up to 40% on some of the top courses in the #Algarve, Portugal, including #Vale do lobo, #Quinta do lago, #Vilamoura, #San Lorenzo #ttot #travel Call us! @Villascapes
A2. Two sides of the same coin. However, we feel it depends on the government regulations, the policies and control measures. While it is good for lesser known destinations for its revival and conservation, it also means increasing visits and its consequences.

A2. Such statuses with control measures can help to a great extent.

A2: I think the positives outweigh the negatives as it makes it harder for the sites to be developed and encourages conservation efforts #ttot
replying to @wheresshellyii @wheresshellyii @aardvarksafaris A2- There are pros and cons to everything we do. @UNESCO protects a site but as soon as it's inscribed, people start bombarding it with tourism which, soon, turns into overtourism and invasion of residents’ privacy. Authorities must maintain a balance between the two. #TTOT
A2: IMHO, having UNESCO status is good for the conservation of a site, preserving its rich history, heritage and culture. It can be bad when excessive tourism numbers visit the site, adding on stress and pressure to the site and community.

A2: I wouldn’t know. I imagine it depends on the site. #ttot https://t.co/vrgvSfGMhU
A2: It's definitely good. There are so many sights on the list, which should not be overrun. And for the ones who are overrun, local governments needs to take the right steps. #TTOT https://t.co/WVXSk9hMuu
A2 The Masai Mara National Park is extremely popular - however there are plenty of alternatives if you know where; private conservancies that offer exclusive wildlife viewing Kicheche Mara a favourite for photographic safaris #ttot @KichecheCamps
replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes @aardvarksafaris A2: The old city of Dubrovnik has UNESCO status which is a postive. Game of Thrones and cruise ships have resulted in overcrowding more than UNESCO status. #TTOT
