A4 in response to @TravelCDV who asked: How do you handle long flights and jet lag with small children?

Carla recommends snacks, comfy clothes, movies, videogames, cards… Overnight trips are definitely easier if you're flying from the US to Spain or Portugal! #TTOT

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @TravelCDV A4- The best way I've come across for a long flight is to keep your bag filled with the kids' most favorite bribe. They only make a fiasco when they get tired, bored or hungry. Have your strategies ready for these & you'll be at peace. (Book a bassinet if you've got a baby) #TTOT

A4 Handle long flights and jet lag by drinking lots of water 🥤, getting plenty of natural sunlight ☀️ and taking it easy after a long flight. Try to avoid naps, although it can be impossible to get little ones to keep their eyes open. Allow time in your plans to recover. #TTOT https://t.co/lk7q0XzjEG

A4- A late day or early evening trip to the pool will tire kids out and help get them used to a new timezone #ttot #travelingsession

A4 These sound like excellent actions to take for everyone but it must be hard for little kids. I like your idea of pacing things well for recovery. #TTOT https://t.co/hX05L678za

A4 A bag of bribes sounds excellent - their favourite and perhaps some "surprises"? #TTOT https://t.co/wrP1vRy2RI

A4: I don't have any kids but my parents used to tell me when I was younger to read books, watch films and just sleep as long as you can on the flight so that used to help quite a lot. #ttot

A4: day flights and 2-3 day stopovers! Max flight of 8 hours. At least if they are shits you aren’t trying to sleep as well and it’s no longer than a bad day at work. Bring books, favourite toys, take them for walks around the plane, make it as fun as you can. #ttot https://t.co/eRt1PBS81o

A4 Good tips from Carla. Night flights to Europe, esp Spain & Portugal? Could you tell why those destinations are best for night flight & kids? #TTOT https://t.co/0uAN3MXNFI
