Q1 via @CharlesMcCool When you travel to new destinations, what sources do you use to discover local places to visit? #TTOT
replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes @CharlesMcCool A1: We usually research Google maps, then we drive and see first hand; and will review a few blogs. #TTOT
A1: Twitter and esp. chats like this are a good way to talk to travel friendly folks and ask about tips. Once there it is best to talk with people at your hotel or restaurant folks or just find people anywhere you are.

A1. When I'm planning a trip I read blog posts and travel articles about the destination. When I'm there I might google nearby restaurants. For things to see and do I check the destination's tourism website and usually they have a brochure available, or even signs posted #TTOT

A1: A million ways, I usually order a @lonelyplanet once I know where to go, read it, make a list of places to visit which I source online after using #travelblogs @TripAdvisor etc. but I like the haptic of a book at the first point 😇 @SonjaSwissLife @CharlesMcCool #TTOT

How do you support locals with your travel spending? #TTOT
A2: I try to support with buying local products incl food at markets. I hate tours but if, I go for small local companies not the big ones. Best experience ever been in Iceland, going into the glacier with Vigfús. https://t.co/aseK14j566
