Q4 via @TravelHouseUK What local recycling rules have you discovered or followed during your visits to different destinations in the world? Did you take any practices back to your home country? #TTOT

A4: Using reusable water bottle was pretty common in Europe. Trying to make that a habit back here now. #TTOT

A4-We encourage following practices, however, there's still room for learning.
#Bhutan inspires us immensely by maintaining controlled, low impact tourism. Its constitution mandates 60% of the land be maintained as forest. It's not only carbon neutral but carbon negative. #TTOT

replying to @APlanToGo @travelhouseuk A4 I also think that a lot of governments could learn from the Swiss and their rigid, but sensible approach to recycling #TTOT

A4. From my travels to Japan, Taiwan and Australia. They are really big and active on recycling, from separating different types of rubbish and those able to be recycled.
Back home here in Singapore, we are still behind and there is a lot for us to work on.

A4 Africa is doing really well in banning single-use plastics - here is what you can take on your travels and what you can't to Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana etc on safari.
Africa has been leading the global war on single use plastics,. https://t.co/8EeibX98nu #ttot

A4 Switzerland uses only official costly garbage bags in private bins (wrong sack = fine $450) No glass, paper, batteries nor organic in sack (fines too big to quote). Other bins for compost, paper, glass, batteries, PET plastic, metal, oils, dog stools. Policed #TTOT @pixabay

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @travelhouseuk A4 Since moving to Prague, we've found that residential recycling isn't as big here as it is in Vancouver. Back in Vancouver, each house/apartment has tons of recycling bins. Here, our apartment only has garbage and recycling is out on the street. #TTOT
