A2. A tech-free trip that I took would probably be 2004, when I visited Tokyo, Japan. I don't own a smartphone or laptop. There were no social media, just a Lonely Planet guide book, tourist maps and my DSLR camera. I just explore and got "lost". Very fun times!

A3 While we can't totally ween away our current obsession with gadgets, I can think of reducing the amount of tech gadgets to bring out, maybe just your smartphone. Reduce the tech and sharing usage, bring your book, notebook, write, draw and paint.
