replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes @SonjaSwissLife @CampfireMagUK Yes, demand will certainly outstrip supply for a few years. I expect a lot of other car-makers will be eyeing this market now. 💚

A3: My hubby and I are planning to take the kids to the Cayman Islands in July. We haven't cancelled, but I suspect we will have to. I was also hoping to get to Oktoberfest, but that, of course, isn't happening this year. #TTOT

replying to @MrGads2 @MrGads2 @TravelDudes @hendrikmorkel I don't think we'll have a choice. Airlines may not be operating internationally, nor borders open, & other countries behind the curve. When they do I expect #safety will take soooo long at the airport - like after 9/11 in the US! Long haul's written-off for most 2020 #ttot

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @TravelDudes I reckon the countries can start off with their own domestic tourism market, supporting their own country's economy too! We don't know when international borders can open up!

A3 #ttot - Thankfully we're in New Zealand on a working holiday visa so anything we do, even domestically, is still 'travelling' for us. We didn't have anything booked but have had to postpone our road trips.

Would be great to have a good source #ttot
a proper WHO website with useful info 🤔

TravelDudes

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @tangenghui I doubt that, as they would loose out on a lot of money & that will be needed and more than before. But I hope that I'm wrong. It's for sure a great opportunity to fix the situation. #ttot

A1 This is an excellent idea, Tara. Probably a bit doubtful with the aggressive commercial side of things but it's certainly necessary. It may happen soon anyway if there's a 2nd COVID wave that's being created right now! #TTOT https://t.co/616fZtm7zc

replying to @tangenghui @tangenghui definitely, local tourism will be booming in a few months. There's also talk that Aus & NZ will be there own bubble so we'll be able to travel there too #ttot

There will be many businesses in Amsterdam who will have extreme troubles this year, as there are no tourists now or less in the next few months. #ttot

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife A4. Transportation. Aviation will be hardest hit (even post-vaccine - people will want to minimise exposure to others - and confined public spaces will be avoided). Excited for rail-travel though (if compartmentalised) #TTOT

replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes @SonjaSwissLife A4: Transportation. I'd love to see trains promoted and subsidised so that they can bring prices down and compete with air travel. Trains are a peaceful and lovely way to travel and far less impactful on the environment. #TTOT

Earth_Changers_

replying to @wheresshellyii @wheresshellyii Yes, buy 1 seat, get another free. Just don't put anyone in it & the 1st will cost you double previous cost. Would be iteresting to see the impact on demand, The rich would have the greatest emissions (even more so) & the most vulnerable the least opportunity (even more so) #ttot

replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes A2 Yes @TravelDudes Open borders is/was wonderful. A new world at the moment, isn't it? There are closed "bubbles" of travel now between less contaminated areas like Australia/NewZealand that have opened just those borders. #TTOT @wheresshellyii

A4 #Transport changes urgently needed as they're the most polluting & unhygienic: cruise ships, legacy aircraft, wildlife destruction for airport expansion. Support needed for #rail & city public transport. All need to adapt an empathy policy for customer service. #TTOT @pixabay

A4. Good qn! To me, all of them since they are in the #travel and #tourism ecosystem! However, if I have to select who gets the most change, I would say
- tourist offices : $$ is great for growth but over capitalism destroys
- transportation : too cheap - mass numbers

A4: Airline & cruise travel. Those engines should be thrown away & should have been replaced 10 years ago. That alone would make a huge difference.
