Q1 via @SonjaSwissLife: What conditions need to be met for you before deciding on a trip this summer or later on? Any plans? #TTOT

A1 My conditions: Low infection rates. Regulation for safety standards like:
‘Safe travels’ stamps will mark destinations you can visit with peace of mind

A1 Covid cases in my country and the destination I'm travelling to will need to be well under control, with no need for quarantine. I have trip booked for late October but I no longer believe it will go ahead #TTOT

A1 I completely agree with you. There is no assurance that travelling is safe, au contraire! #ttot https://t.co/1EoHw3LlTW

A1 When COVID19 is contained at home & at my destination + in other countries whose travellers are also there. So, since that won’t happen, I’m spending a lovely summer on the Portuguese coast at least 2 metres from everyone until there’s a vaccine or cure. #TTOT @SonjaSwissLife

A1 Number of cases and mobility between countries. Australians are currently 'banned' from flying internationally (exceptions apply) #TTOT

A1 This is an important new standardisation. The @WTTC is doing a good job in trying to make travel as safe as possible. #ttot https://t.co/PlvMMtrZCw

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife A1 Yes, sadly I think that travelling (particularly on airplanes) is one of the least safe things to do right now #ttot

A1: I don't think there will be any travel outside of Aus/NZ for the rest of this year. If/when they decide to open that travel bubble up I'll have no other conditions to travel within Aus/NZ unless there is community transmission #ttot

A1. For me, countries have to allow leisure #travel, along with health and quarantine precautions including test swab. I would be glad if international travel can open up in next June 2021 onwards, fingers crossed. Not making any plans yet.

replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife A1. And this is an extreme answer. Until a vaccine is available (or an effective treatment before then), I'll be going nowhere.

After that though, I'll be a very frequent traveller on European trains (maybe even an adapted van too ?). Where there's a will to travel.

A1: I'm totally up for travel again! I would be careful, but ready. I wouldn't travel to an area with many infections and I would check the restrictions & see if they fit. #TTOT https://t.co/ybwn8r3mn5

replying to @APlanToGo @APlanToGo A1 Yes, airline travel has already proven recently that they only care about filling the load & do not care about social distancing (UAL & AA). Even the crews complain. #ttot

A1: The world should stay in lockdown until 2021 and possibly until the spread is under control or vaccines exist. #ttot

SonjaSwissLife

A1 I know you're careful but why risk lives by taking chances that there are ANY infections at a place. No one knows anything & for me, it's a Russian Roulette game. #TravelLocal #ttot https://t.co/1uuUTtAO4u

A1: If the airlines handle the situation like @KLM shows in this video https://t.co/GLIHS5PvH5 then I think the risk is OK, if you live in a "safe" country. It would be good if everyone would need to do a quick test at departure. Some only take 1 hour to show 6 results. #TTOT

A1 Wise choices, @ataxiascot Concern for one's safety is normal, not extreme with these unknown dangers. After that. #trains the word...and why not a #Vanlife? #ttot https://t.co/AJoS41AwJm

A1: Sri Lanka is opening up 1st August. A negative PCR test is required prior to boarding your flight and on arrival in Sri Lanka. The tests hould be no older than 72 hours prior to boarding. And they will do tests every couple of days at your certified hotel. #TTOT

A1 This seems to be a strong determinant. Australia & New Zealand (0 new infected yesterdy) are considering a "bubble" agreement as are EU countries but they can't decide which countries to match make = chaos #ttot https://t.co/fjewmog5kH

replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes @SonjaSwissLife A1 We won’t be leaving the country, but hopefully will do some travelling around Ireland August if hotels or Airbnb’s are open again.

A1. The regulations, the restrictions and the perceivable health risks. If the regulations and risks are OK then it will depend on how & how much the restrictions will have a negative effect on the experience. #ttot
