- buy meaningful gifts for homestay hosts
- buy more local ingredients to cook at homestay, a chance to feast and chat more
- find local tours around the homestay to explore the region further

A2: There are obviously different price categories for homestays. If you want to splurge it, then just spend a bit more. 😀
With that there should be a higher overall standard. If not. you chose the wrong place. 🙃
