A4: Haha, I just answered this in the previous question about an ideal holiday. Kentucky for Christmas (so far) has been my favorite Japanese tradition. However, Hatsumōde is also really great. #TTOT

replying to @StevenOnTheMove @StevenOnTheMove @TravelDudes I bet it was beautiful. Did you go places in Japan where there was snow? #TTOT
A2: Christmas and New Year for me is being at my friends house and spending it with them - days filled with food alcohol, video games, Monopoly and even some cheeky chocolate treats! #ttot
replying to @tangenghui @tangenghui Yes and then we have an Australia Day public holiday later in the month and it's still school holidays in Jan so the whole office isn't really all back until Feb #ttot
replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife That has to have been frustrating, but I totally understand. #TTOT
A4: I could never understand why the children in other countries had to wait till the 25th in the morning to get their presents. #TTOT https://t.co/ItNBNEmteH
replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife @TravelDudes No, we did not get to any snowy destinations during my mom's visit. My wife & I did make it to the Sapporo Snow Festival in early 2019 though. #TTOT
A2 It's still a tradition even with the cricket. I remember family Christmas dinners followed by hours of US Football. #TTOT https://t.co/Urnpya05Ha
A2. Relax, clean up my stuff and sell things I don't need/ use anymore, and of course paint Minis as I'm at home 😁 #minipainting #Warmongers

replying to @PureTraveller @PureTraveller @SonjaSwissLife We had a soft relaunch and it shows the new site with the old questions. Sorry for that! I'll update it later. #ttot
replying to @StevenOnTheMove @StevenOnTheMove That sounds really good. It's always fun to explore new sights in the own country, especially with friends and family. #ttot

A1 What a difference n'est-ce pas? And you have chosen to be so central in Europe & have lots of nearby wonderful places. #TTOT https://t.co/QzhLIL0cTn
replying to @SonjaSwissLife @SonjaSwissLife Traditions do NOT have to be religious. Anything you (and family/friends) do consistently is a tradition. #TTOT
It was especially rewarding being able to "show off" my new home country to my mom. #TTOT https://t.co/Zy7vO7UwS5
replying to @CyprusPictures @CyprusPictures Right. I remember that many went into the pub on the 24th to meet friends. That's also a nice option. hahaha #ttot
A3. I'd be skiing in Norway, ideally =)

replying to @StevenOnTheMove @StevenOnTheMove I still find this such a random but cool thing! #ttot
replying to @StevenOnTheMove @StevenOnTheMove I agree & it's nicely separated for the most part by keeping the secular focus on Santa Claus in the US. #TTOT
replying to @TravelDudes @TravelDudes @SonjaSwissLife A4: I celebrated Christmas with a deeply Christian family once -it was a very different experience than I was used to.They probably got sick of me asking about the significance of things & what Jesus had to do with wine etc. My husband did religious studies, so am learning! #TTOT
A5. If I am unable to celebrate with December holidays with the people that I am normally with, I would just continue with my own local photography exploration and documentation (it never stops actually).
Sometimes, my friends might invite me over for their gatherings!
#TTOT
A4. In the past I didn't enjoy the holidays at all. But in the last two, three years, I have grown fond of the time between the years, with good food, relaxing, doing nothing much except things I enjoy doing, only with our family.

replying to @HHLifestyleTrav @HHLifestyleTrav @StevenOnTheMove @TravelDudes It still blows my mind as an adult that you can buy a Vienetta for £1 in the supermarket. They were the fanciest, most special occasion thing ever when I was a kid. #TTOT
Kentucky for Christmas is random, but is is also the epitome of effective marketing. The tradition has been going since 1974, and I'm thrilled to have participated in it. #TTOT https://t.co/iFBCVn2Spr

replying to @lingointransit @lingointransit After Christmas most stay at home. The shops are still full as people spend their money and vouchers or swap presents. As I don't like shopping, I'll stick to stay at home or go for walks. ;-) #ttot
